SD500, 1/160 @ f/9 (+1/3 EV)

another shot from my shiny new SD500. i bought this little gem off e-bay for US$275 including shipping. compare that to 550-600 CDN you have to pay in store. of course, there is also the downside. the not so nice thing is it has the dreaded E18 error, and it came up the first time i shut the camera off. without this problem, there is no doubt this is the best tiny, classy, high-res, p&s camera around.

but until now, i'm torn between returning it to the seller (which i'm not sure yet how would turn out), or keeping it and using the solution that has been working for me so far. i managed to avoid E18 by switching to video mode before shutting the thing off (then switching to preview mode once off to prevent the lens from coming out if the on button is accidentally pressed, which could worsen the E18 problem). sometimes by just switching to preview mode directly before turning the camera off works, but it didn't worked for me once, so i'll stick with the video approach for now. if the E18 still comes up even by using this trick in the next 3 weeks, i'm returning it. otherwise, i'll keep it, and just hope that i won't regret my decision of taking the risk. so please wish me luck =)
